His transfer to the Dragons didn’t look at the start for this 33-year old veteran forward but once he decided to stick, it was smooth sailing from thereon. Belasco was a pick-up in trade with Alaska for Junjun Cabatu and his experience and offensive prowess will be a big help to this young squad.
The 6-6 Belasco played 53 games for the Aces last season, starting in all but one, and averaged 10 points and 7.2 rebounds per game in 31.7 minutes a night of playing time. Austria has been searching for a big guy who can hit long the range jumper to free up space for his post-up players and Belasco could be what the doctor ordered for the Dragons. His help in rebounding will be a bonus.
