He found his spot in the rotation of Austria last season at the off-guard position and the former Santo Tomas high-flyer proved that he can get the job done. The 6-1 Gelig was often tasked to guard the best wingmen of the other teams and this season won't be different.
The 26-year old Gelig, who had a previous short stint with Talk 'N Text, improved his scoring average from 4.4 points during the 2005-06 season to 6.1 a game the next. He played for 35 games with nine starts and was given just 16.4 minutes per game of exposure. Austria will likely be banking more on his defense that's why he is giving him another spot in the team.
